I think this means that even if you score 1000 home runs or score 1 home run, character will always matter more than anything. Character will matter more than 1000 home runs. For example if you score 1000 home runs they won't matter if you don't have good character. But if you score 1 home run with good character then it will matter the most.

I think this means to live life to the fullest and be nice and humble. And whoever does good is gonna live life to the best because they are choosing the right. For example if you don't invite your parents to your games then you are choosing the wrong and you are living in misery. but if you invite them then you will live in happiness and you have a happy life.
